AFRICAN STARS BAND AT THE SUNSET CLUB

The African Stars Band, one of the more famous bands in Tanzania was recently at Sunset Club in Jeti Lumo, Dar es Salaam. Performing in the new style Kisigino, the band performed accompanied by its big group of stage dancers at satisfied the audience thirst for music that evening.The band owner, Asha Baraka, said the concert was meant to introduce its new songs and new musicians.

G5 MODERN TAARAB WAS AT SISI CLUB

Last Saturday at Sisi Club, Msasani, Dar es Salaam the G5 Modern Taarab performed to a crowd in their Mipasho style. Hamis Slim the group director has promised that in the next few months the group will be the talk of town. He has  quite openly that the group will be poaching artists from other Taarab Groups to beef up G5. Talks with several top Taarab musicians have already been made and things are only waiting for the right timing.The launching of 'KIGODORO" the group's new album will be in October. The group has big names in Taarab music like  Mwanahawa Ali, Ashura Machupa, Zena Mohammed, Abdul Misambano and Mwamvita Shaibu....below pictures of the show at Sisi Club.

NEW ADEN MODERN TAARAB ON STAGE

All you need was to buy a drink, and you continued enjoying music from this Taarab group, New Aden Modern Taarab, which was performing at the Monnie Junction, in Dar es Salaam. This group which specializes in playing oldies and hit songs from other Taarab groups. The group Director Salum Haji Chaurembo,said the group has its own compositions but the songs have yet to shake the Taarab world.....but soon the group will surprise the music world......the lady in the pics below seems to be enjoying herself and is definitely lost in music...........
