JOHN KITIME NOW ONE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL ARTS COUNCIL

President of the United Republic of Tanzania Hon . Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete has appointed Professor Penina Mlama the Chairperson of the National Arts Council ( NAC ) for the next three years .
In addition the Minister for Information, Youth , Culture and Sports, Dr . Fenella Mukangara has appointed 12 persons as members of the NAC for the next three years. The representative are Dr . Vincensia Shule , John Kitime,

Herbert Makoye , Erick Shigongo and Alex Msama .Other representatives include Adam Juma Bakari , Daniel Ndagala , Michael Kadinde and Joyce Fisoo, Prof . Hermas Mwansoko and the Executive Secretary of the NAC .At same time the Minister for Information, Youth , Culture and Sports, Dr . Fenella Mukangara  has appointed Ghonche Materego to the post of the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Institute of Arts and Culture Bagamoyo ( TaSUBa ).Members of the Board appointed by the Minister are Dr.  Herbert Makoye , Prof . Emanuel Mbogo , Dr. Lucy Mboma, Prof . Herman Mwansoko and the Executive Secretary of the NAC .The Minister of Information, Youth , Culture and Sports, Dr . Fenella Mukangara has also appointed a total of 21 members of the National Kiswahili Council ( BAKITA ) for a period of two years from 2013 to 2015.

  1. At least we see new faces most of which are artists starting with Prof Mlama through Mr. Kitime to John Shigongo. Let us wish them a good work!
