Airtel offer Dar Teacher’s training on ICT studies

Airtel in partnership with Dar Teknohama Business Incubator (DTBi) have started to offer ICT studies to teachers at Kijitonyama Primary School in Kinondoni Municipality aimed at life changing program and also equip with knowledge so that they can start teaching pupils at the school.
Earlier, the studies had focused on pupils, students and entrepreneurs but now they have extended the same to teachers at the school.

Speaking yesterday in Dar es Salaam, Airtel Tanzania Project Manager Jane Matinde said that it is so interesting to see teachers have turned in big number to get training on ICT. ‘Teachers are very happy and motivated to learn courses offered here. It will be a big success for them to learn and pass the same to their studies. This will also open a chance to take studies to other schools’, said Matinde.
However, Matinde said that pupils and students who earlier started studies on different courses, that training will go as usual.
We have already a big number of pupils and especially from Kijitonyama Primary School who have come up for the ICT studies. Their training will go on as usual and we call upon other pupils/students and whoever else interested to register for the studies so as to have knowledge on computer science skills at early age. To the community, it is a good time to start learning ICT programs that can make you a self-employed, said Matinde.

We are still receiving applicants who want to get skills on ICT management. Pupils, students and anyone who is willing to take part in these studies is encouraged to apply.
The ICT Lab Airtel Fursa Manager Agape Jengela said they are set to offer training to all the applicants. Jengela named some of the courses that will be offered as such as lego Robotics’, animation programming for children(called scretch) and 3D designing and printing   at the  primary school level,  other courses include computer basics, computer literacy, simplified application programming ,internet/security
