Welcome to the Free Cyber Security Awareness Session 2018

Cyber Security Awareness Session 2018 is a training session that aims to advocate cyber security and cybercrime related matters occurring in Tanzania. This session in particular will highlight fundamental cybercrime problems across the country and provide cybercrime awareness to the public. In order to address cybercrime related matters, the United Republic of Tanzania introduced THE CYBERCRIME ACT No. 14, 2015 in 2015. However, statistics show that the number of cybercrimes committed in the country increases annually since the inception of this law.
The drastic changes in ICT industry have affected human civilization significantly. African countries, (Tanzania included) are also facing social and economic changes prompted by new innovations in ICT industry. Nevertheless, criminals are exploiting new ICT services in committing crimes, thereby, causing significant problems to the public.

Considering the impact of cybercrime (social and monetary loss) to the general public, Kingdom Heritage brings this session aiming at convening stakeholder in cyber security and cybercrime related matters.
