NGUZA VIKING AND PAPII KOCHA TO GRACE THE PRISONERS' MUSIC FESTIVAL TOMORROW

THE African Stars Band, known to its supporters as the Twanga Pepeta, will tomorrow 14/10/2016 take part in the second Ukonga Prisoners music festival, which will start at 8 in the morning. The apex of the show will be the participation  Nguza Viking and and his son Papii Kocha, two musicians who are serving life sentence imprisonment for child rape. The new star of 'singeli' music,Msaga Sumu is also expected to perform his music. 
Eric Shigongo the CEO of Global Publishers Limited who organized this event, said the event is important for the welfare of the prisoners. The event will make the prisoners feel they are still part of the community even though they are behind bars. The festival coordinator Juma Mbizo said apart from music they will be games like football, tug-o-war and other games, there will be prizes for winners. There will be also be motivating speeches by Eric Shigongo, and the officers from the Prisons Department.
